Lorraine and her team at Lorraine Poulos and Associates (LPA) specialise in supporting providers of Disability, Health, Residential and Community Care in Australia. The Managing Director -Lorraine- originally trained as a Registered Nurse and has post-graduate qualifications in Health Service Management and Adult Education. Her past roles include Chief Executive Officer of the Aged Care Channel and Director of Aged and Community Care for a large multi-purpose organisation.
Lorraine is a Fellow of the Case Management Society of Australia.
She is a member of two not-for-profit aged care boards and was a Health Minister Nominee for the NSW Medical Board/Council from 2009-2017. In addition, she was a Nurse Advisor and Administrator for the Department of Health until the program ceased in 2017.
Lorraine is considered an expert in the area of auditing quality systems, having been a former ACHS surveyor, qualified aged care assessor and the subject matter expert for the training of the sector and Quality Reviewers in the Home Standards. Lorraine is also a qualified Lead Auditor in Management Systems.
Recent work completed by LPA has involved preparing the sector for Consumer Directed Care, deregulation of the Home Care market and the Certification of Case Managers. In 2017, Lorraine and her associates held a number of national seminars/conferences about Clinical Governance in Home Care.
Lorraine and her team are passionate about encouraging change within the sector and this is recognised by Lorraine’s invitation to speak and facilitate at many state, national and international conferences and forums.
